The Earth's position in it's yearly ecliptic (oval) orbit, determines it's distance from the Sun. According to Kepler's Third Law, it is this variance of distance, that determines the fret (note) on which the Earth resonates (month) - progressing a half step up the musical scale every thirty days or so.

According to both Fludd & Pythagorease, these are the Keynotes, as well as the "ratio of composition", for the four basic elements:

("C") Earth = of 4 parts earth
("D") Water = of 3 parts earth & 1 part fire
("A") Air = of 3 parts fire & 1 part earth,
("F") Fire = of 4 parts fire
